On behalf of the Association for Education, Research and Development in Midwifery (AERDM), we are honored to invite you to the 2nd International Midwifery Education, Research and Development Congress, which will be held in Izmir, Türkiye, on 27–29 November 2025.

Founded in 2014, AERDM is a professional civil society organization established to enhance the quality of midwifery education, conduct research related to the profession, and promote its scientific advancement. The association’s activities include carrying out research and educational initiatives, organizing scientific meetings, providing evidence-based resources, producing publications, and collaborating with national and international organizations.

The main theme of this year’s congress is “Health Sciences Research.” The foundation of professional progress in midwifery lies in knowledge generated through research and its translation into clinical practice. The congress aims to strengthen the capacity of participants in both clinical and academic settings to acquire, process, and report scientific knowledge.

The scientific program will be enriched by panels featuring distinguished speakers from national and international institutions. These panels will address different stages of the research process, including the role of artificial intelligence in research, ethical considerations, research funding and support mechanisms, as well as reporting and publication processes. In this context, courses will also be offered to equip participants with practical skills to apply in their own research.
